on my first week i created the basic template and worked and researched on what to include in my website so i would'nt be off task and i created my homepage.

Design 1 reflection

For this design, i think the template i did was way too much and i should probably add the home and France together. But, i cancelled out the France tab and decided to write about France on the home page. I also decided to cancel out the sign up page because it was too complicated and  couldn't make one but if i did do it, it would have brought my marks higher.For the videos, instead of 3-5, i decided to change it to two videos because it would take a lot of time to upload a lot. The students will also not take a lot of time watching the videos because it will  become boring to them . Student learn faster with interesting things around them and different videos on the same place would not find it interesting.

Design 2 Reflections 

my second design seemed simpler than my first one because i changed a few thing in it which is to make it simpler for the students to use. i made the video 2-3 and also took the sign up page out because it will be too hard to do and i already took a lot of time doing this

i think i can better numbers on my website and this remarks were also before i updated so they were a little bit too low. i updated my website and i think i have covered all the specifications on my website so i might get a better grade. But, for this remarks i would say i have to change my texts to be visible and be in black. the navigation is also visible so i do not know why my pairs gave me this low mark.My content was also low on the website before but now i have improved it.I also didnt have any links or roll overs but now i have included it in my website.

introduction:
 I am a student in grade 9 and form a Nigerian background. In Nigeria my official language is English but they also thought us french in class. When i came to Dubai i was in the lowest class for french because the school didn't know my level yet as i was new. but then i did really well so in year 8 i was moved to the highest french class in the grade. i was really proud of myself but then i noticed that i couldn't really do well in the class i was because it was too hard so i was moved to a medium class which i stayed but then i did well in this also and in grade 9 i was moved to the highest class again but i told my teacher and was sent to a medium class again which i am in now. i am doing quite well and i dont have any problems

Their work was about creating a trailer with different clips from movies to use to create their open trailer. I liked the fact that the trailer was interactive and had good transitions . The music that was used in the background was very good .

They have game made from Roblox which is four abandoned warehouses in which you have to try to kill zombies. It took them two weeks to complete it. Had problems with the game and there are still some glitches here and there in the game as some of the things in the game that was there doesnt show when they play the game

I have tried different websites to create my game and have finnaly decided to make a game on spolder. The game will be named later beacuse i havent come up with a new name. The game will be interactive and fun filled for the audience who play it.The game is half way done as i planned it on paper and will soon transfer it to my game. The product was a chemical detecting product which is able to detect and react to chemical spills using a porous silicone chip that can change colors when it comes in contact with a volatile organic compound.

Anna built this robot out of lego bricks and relatively simple electrical parts.The product was made to benefit the soceity by helping law enforcements, security and counter-terrorism personell to safely detect chemicals from a distance.

The product looks really good but i dont think if there is a lot of chemical it would be able to detect it as it is really small and building a bigger one will require a lot of material in which a lot of money will be invested

 Hello my name is Ameenah. Am 13 yeras old when i was young i did not learn how to swim. It was a really big problem for me because i was scared of water  its really a big problem for my sister does not know how to swim and i will try to find her a way to teach. I always try to help her but she is always too scared to do this.

Outline the needs to solve a problem.

She need to know how to swim so she can help herself in a real life situation incase something related to water happens to her and she cant help herself or help other people.Learning to swim is important for several reasons and mastering this skill at a young age can benefit you throughout your life.An obvious reason for learning how to swim is to acquire the ability to survive in water.

Explain and justify the need for a solution to a problem for a specified client/target audience 

The age group 10 is what am teaching how to swim because they are still young and are old enough to learn a lot of skills and swimming is essential for their safety .It is absolutely crucial that all kids know how to swim at a young age. There is water all around us, even if it’s as small as a bathtub. Making sure that your child is comfortable in and around water is essential to their safety.

Brooklyn teen Jean Fritz Pierre drowned on a class field trip in June.The doomed freshman was one of 48 students on a field trip to Rockland County’s Bear Mountain State Park. The trip, intended to be a joyous celebration of the school year’s end, turned tragic when Jean Fritz and a friend left the group to cool down in Hessian Lake, where swimming is banned because of deep pits in the lake’s bottom.Park workers who spotted the teens called them four times to return to dry land, but it was too late — Jean Fritz disappeared under the water. After a 50-minute search, police discovered his body. Cops said the cause of death was accidental drowning.



What is the nature of the problem?
  The nature of the problem is that people endanger themselves by not learning how to swim at a early age and dont listen to instruction and endanger thier life to just go against the rules which is what happend to jean fritz.And in some cases they are too poor to know anything about swimming or to even learn how to swim which is not thier fault.


Who is it a problem for?

The problem affects a lot of people in the world mainly because of thier fear of water but mostly children becuse. All over the world, infants and toddlers drown more frequently than people at any other age because this age group drowning most likely have  Inadequate supervision, an inability to swim, and lack of barriers separating them from pools and other water 

Where is the problem occurring?

The problem occurs everywhere. You might not know but every minute there is a case of someone drowning elsewhere. But mostly i think the case of drowning occurs mostly in the united states of America. In the United States of America, 45% of drowning deaths are among the most economically active segment of the population. Coastal drowning in the United States alone accounts for US$ 273 million each year. The problem affects mostly african americans  in which most of them cant swim, around 70% of black americans cant swim. 

What is the cause of the problem? 

African Americans were not allowed to swim in the’40s or ’50s, so if thier grandparents didn’t know how to swim, then they didn’t teach thier parents, and if thier  parents didn’t swim, then they might not be a swimmer. It is also stated that the drowning of african american children is three times higher than white american children. Just under 70% of African-American children surveyed said they had no or low ability to swim. Low ability merely meant they were able to splash around in the shallow end. A further 12% said they could swim but had "taught themselves".Many african american parents are not teaching their children to swim because most of the time the fundamental reasons would be lack of money for swimming lessons or living in areas where there are no pools.67

i asked all my classmates this questions and this is what they all agreed on. As we can see most of the class agrees that not knowing how to swim really endangers people's life. Most people also knew how to swim way before they were ten which really helped them. People also said they were happy with knowing how to swim.

I went on the link to know more about the americans who cant swim because i cant calculate the whole world so i decided to focus on america as a whole and it stated that In a 1994 CDC(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ) study, 37 percent of American adults said they couldn't swim 24 yards, the length of a typical gymnasium lap pool. A 2008 study conducted by researchers at the University of Memphis found that almost 54 percent of children between 12 and 18 can do no more than splash around the shallow end of a pool. The difference between the two studies is somewhat surprising, as the CDC study suggested that children tend to be better swimmers than adults. The Memphis study broke the data down demographically. White children were the most likely to self-report (or have their parents report) strong swimming skills, with 58 percent of those between the ages of 4 and 18 claiming the ability to traverse more than a pool length. Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders came in a close second at 55 percent. Forty-two percent of Hispanic and Latino children are strong swimmers. Asian-American and Native American children came in at 34 percent and 32 percent, respectively. African-Americans reported the fewest strong swimmers at 31 percent. Accident rates largely conform to these data. African American children between 5 and 14 years old are more than three times as likely to drown as their white peers.

This is my scratch project that we did in class. It is about me. This was the first time i was using scratch so i might still need to get better and learn more about how to use it. I like my project because it was really simply not too sophisticated but still described who i was. What does programming in computers mean?

 It is the process of developing and implementing various sets of instructions to enable a computer to do a certain task. These instructions are considered computer programs and help the computer to operate smoothly.

How has it evolved?

Certainly the manner in which we interact with computers has changed. We now input data using touchscreens instead of punch cards, and we can view the responses a computer generates on a high-definition LCD monitor instead of a green screen. And computer languages have certainly evolved. For Java Certification Scala Programming Language example, Java itself is an ‘object-oriented’ programming language.
